We are Jax, Amado, and Sinag

We plan to drive around the world in "Nulla" our 1983, HJ47, Toyota Landcruiser

In 2018, Nulla traveled by ship from Los Angeles, California, to Zeebrugge, Belgium

In 2009, we purchased our 1983 HJ47, Toyota Landcruiser, and began building our overlanding vehicle, mostly in our driveway. Our goal was and continues to be to drive around the world. From a canvas cover over the flatbed, we created a camper and so much more.

On
December 12, 2018, after almost ten years of work, Nulla left the Port of Long Beach in California to cross the Atlantic Ocean.

On January 17, 2019, our dream of driving around the world began. We traveled North America in Nulla for many years. Driving from Los Angeles to the Arctic Circle in Alaska, through Canada, to the Baja Peninsula of Mexico, and across the United States. We were so excited to begin the new journey we picked up Nulla the day she arrived in Zeebrugge. The following day we drove south, waving goodbye to Zeebrugge, the cold, and snow.

From January to March 2019, we drove through France, Spain, and then ferried across the Strait of Gibraltar to Morocco.

From April to July, 2019, we drove through Morocco. We planned to stay in Morocco for only three months but loved it so much we stayed longer. It was a wonderful time, but the world is very large, and it called us to continue our travels.

In July, we ferried from Morocco to Spain, and drove to Portugal. Everyone told us, "You will love Portugal," and we did. Our second night was spent in the little village of Fuzetta on the Algarve. Camped next to the water in Fuzetta, life was so beautiful we could not leave. We camped in Fuzetta for almost three months. Every day we miss Fuzetta--the seafood, music, sunsets, beaches, and our wonderful friends.

On September 19, 2019, after 10 months, we returned home to Los Angeles, knowing our greatest challenge in traveling is leaving our new friends and the places we come to love. Due to the instability caused by Covid, Nulla was stored in Faro, Portugal, for almost two years. Waiting for borders to re-open seems endless. Since we cannot begin our international travels again, we have decided to prepare Nulla to be ready for travel when borders re-open.

On July 28, 2021, Nulla arrived at Adventure Trucks
in Slovenia from Portugal. Nulla’s camper rebuild and other upgrades will be done by Adventure Trucks. We are excited to work with Adventure Trucks and will post regular updates on the rebuild on the subpage “Nulla 2021 Retrofit Slovenia.”

From years of travel, we have learned—the more we see, the less we know. Stay Healthy. Stay Safe. Click on “Videos & Slideshows” to share our travels. 🥾🐾🌍
