We plan to drive around the world in "Nulla" our 1983, HJ47, Toyota Landcruiser
Nulla traveled by ship from Los Angeles to Zeebrugge, Belgium
On December 12, 2018, Nulla left the Port of Long Beach in California to cross the Atlantic Ocean. Nulla arrived on January 17th, 2019, and our dream of driving around the world began. We traveled North America in Nulla for many years. Driving from Los Angeles to the Arctic Circle in Alaska, through Canada, to the Baja Peninsula of Mexico, and across the United States. We were so excited to begin our new journey we picked up Nulla the day she arrived in Zeebrugge. The following day we drove south waving goodbye to Zeebrugge, the cold, and snow. From January to March 2019, we drove through France, Spain, and then ferried across the Strait of Gibraltar to Morocco.
We planned to stay in Morocco for only three months but loved it so much we stayed five months. It was a wonderful time, but the world is very large, and it called us to continue our travels. Our next destination was Portugal. Everyone told us, "You will love Portugal," and we did. Our second night was spent in the little village of Fuzetta on the Algarve. Camped next to the water in Fuzetta life was so beautiful we could not leave. We camped in Fuzetta for almost three months. Everyday we miss Fuzetta--the seafood, music, sunsets, beaches, and our wonderful friends.
On September 19, 2019, after 10 months, we returned home to Los Angeles, knowing our greatest challenge in traveling is leaving our new friends and the places we come to love. Yes, we could have covered more miles, but we are content to move slowly. Nulla is now stored in Faro, Portugal, and as soon as possible we hope to pick her up and get on the road. From years of travel, we have learned—the more we see, the less we know. Stay Healthy. Stay Safe. Click on “Videos & Slideshows” to share our travels. 🥾🐾🌍
